Live streaming soars in China, merchants take note

Live streaming has caught on quickly and broadly among China's so-called post-1990s generation, those born between 1990 and 1999. 

Meitu, a Chinese company that made its name for beauty-focused photo-editing apps, launched Meipai in 2014, a video editing and sharing app, which is called the Chinese version of Instagram, a social media platform for sharing photos and videos online.
